Recently in my painting class, we've been exploring specific value painting projects. I'm definitely a fan. Don't get me wrong, I like color, love color, etc., but every once in a while it's nice to remove some of that noise and focus on the impact of shading within a hue or two.
I've already finished a graphite drawing of this, which was a lot of fun to do. I'm hoping painting it will be also, but every time I approach a project with the belief it will be easy and quick, I'm reminded of how little I know about the process.
